A Personal Memoir is the whole story, told from the inside: what happened, what it felt like, and what it means now.
You do not need to have been famous. You do not need to have climbed a mountain or survived a war, though you may have done both. What you need is a life, and you have one. Biography Bound's Personal Memoir service exists for exactly that reason.
Through a series of warm, guided conversations, Robynne draws out the full arc of your life: where you came from, what shaped you, the people you loved, the work you did, the places you went, the times you failed and the times you didn't, and everything in between. She then crafts it into a beautifully written book, in your voice, that will outlast you.
It is not a biography written about you from the outside. It is a memoir told from within, exactly as you experienced it, with all the warmth, wit, and honesty that implies.
The Biography Bound client is not defined by age, occupation, or the size of their public profile. They are defined by something quieter: the understanding that their life has mattered, and the wish to preserve it before memory softens the details or time runs out entirely.
Some come for themselves, because they want to reflect, record, and leave something lasting. Some come because a family member has finally agreed to be interviewed and the window is open. Some come because a milestone, a diagnosis, or a loss has made the urgency suddenly clear. All of them are right to come now.
No two memoirs are alike. Some clients want to begin with childhood and end with grandchildren. Others are drawn to particular themes: a career, a marriage, a migration, a faith. Robynne works with each client to find the structure that serves their story best. What follows are the territories a memoir most naturally covers.
The family you were born into. The house, the street, the town. Early memories and formative experiences. The people who shaped you before you had any say in the matter.
The relationships that defined your life. How you met the people who mattered most. Raising children, losing people, and everything love asks of us over a lifetime.
What you built, created, or contributed. The work that occupied your days and the sense of purpose that animated it. The people you worked alongside and what you learned from them.
The places you went and the experiences that broadened you. Adventures large and small. The world as you found it, and how encountering it changed you.
A memoir is not a record of everything that happened. It is an honest account of what mattered, told by the only person qualified to tell it.
Every life holds a story worth preserving. Yours is no exception.
Begin Your StoryBiography Bound began with grief. The founder lost her father, Brian, a businessman, a tour guide, a grandfather, someone who was funny and full of stories. Not one of those stories was written down. In the process of grieving him, the wish became very clear: someone should have suggested it. Someone should have helped while there was still time.
That is why this business exists. Not to capitalise on the fear of loss, but to offer something real: the chance to capture a life before the window closes. Done well, the process is not sad. It is one of the most meaningful things a family can do together.
Tell us a little about yourself and the story you would like to preserve. There is no obligation and no pressure. Just a warm conversation about your life and how we might help you give it the book it deserves.
If you are enquiring on behalf of a loved one, we welcome that too. Many of our memoir clients begin with a family member making the first call.
Every enquiry is handled personally by Robynne. She will be in touch within two business days.
